p.s.: I’ll be in Barcelona with my girlfriend, seeing some touristic things and visiting our Spanish colleagues from Onetomarket. I have been working on a post of my own and maybe i’ll publish it this week. If not, it will be in two weeks.

Searchwritten.com is a new website about 'Content SEO'.

Hi, my name is Ramon Eijkemans and i'm an SEO consultant for Onetomarket. I've been doing SEO for three years now and because I work at Onetomarket i've had the privilege to work some of the best and brightest. I specialize in 'content SEO': web writing, keyword research, title tags, styleguides, and fighting with copywriters. That's my thing and this website is about just that!
SEO copywriting: Searchwritten - A Study in Content SEO

Disclaimer: I’ve changed the way I name the subject of this website. First I called the subject of this website ‘SEO copywriting’ as I do in the article below, but that’s too narrow. Now I talk about ‘Content SEO’.

Most SEO websites are about Search Engine Marketing as a whole. The ones that restrict themselves to subtopics, mostly follow the news or are about technology, social media, or linkbuilding. I have no data to back up this statement, but it’s my impression of the SEO blogosphere. Content SEO, and more specifically, SEO copywriting therefore is a part of SEO that deserves more attention. I also happen to know a thing or two about it.

History

For five years now I wrote my weblog in Dutch, dealing mainly with webdesign, technology, politics, philosophy, life as a student and SEO. It was fun, but the time has come to change. Every Dutch SEO speaks English fluently, most of them already know me, and the Online Marketing company I work for grows very fast in not only the Netherlands, but also in Spain, Italy, Germany, and the rest of Europe… Logic dictates this move.

Format

The format of this project is that it’s a study. It’s not a weblog, not a forum, not a book. I will use all kinds of formats, whatever I think works best to explore SEO copywriting. I investigate questions in a diverse range from simple to advanced. Questions like:

What is SEO copywriting?

What is the difference between this and ‘normal’ copywriting?

Is there more to SEO copywriting than inserting keywords?

How do you manage SEO copywriting for 100+ texts?

How to structure a web magazine or newspaper?

How do you teach others how to optimize title-tags and meta-descriptions?

What tools are out there that can help you?

How do you configure the tools everybody uses (like MS Word/Openoffice) to make them more effective?

So, if that sounds interesting to you, subscribe to my rss feed and register for an account, so you can submit comments and do all kinds of other stuff I havent thought of yet :)
